With all the scrims and partitions up around The Hungry Bear Restaurant at Disneyland, you would think they wouldn’t be open during the construction of Star Wars Land. Imagine my surprise when my friends and I ventured over to the Hungry Bear to check out their menu offerings (which have changed dramatically since the last time I visited!). Yet there was an Instagram post I saw advertising churro funnel cake and I knew I had to have it.
My friend Hilda and I had also noticed the signage for the churro funnel cake and vowed to get it on our next Disneyland visit (because we had just treated ourselves to Dole Whips and Dole Whip floats). Upon our return, I happily ordered this Churro Funnel Cake treat so that 3 of my friends and I could all share.
The Churro Funnel Cake isn’t to be mistaken with the Mexican Funnel Cake from the OC Fair. Every year, the fair offers what they call the Mexican funnel cake because it’s honestly a big giant churro that looks like funnel cake. The Disneyland version, however, is still an actual funnel cake but its toppings make it closer to a churro with the cinnamon, sugar, caramel sauce, and of course, the Mickey-shaped whipped cream!
I definitely recommend sharing this Disney treat as it is massive and will provide you with a sugar overload. At the time of writing this, Disney is also offering a Peach Cobbler Funnel Cake, which I might have to try next!
Have you tried this Disneyland treat?
