Disneyland unveiled a bunch of yummy treats in honor of the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade – some of them on a ‘secret’ menu, while others on full display for anyone to order. There have been so many delicious options, but I’ve been intrigued with the adorable dessert options on hand at Disneyland’s Jolly Holiday Bakery on Main Street U.S.A.
The first thing I tried were the “Turtle cream puffs” served with little yellow macaron hats (pictured above!). When I first saw these displayed at Jolly Holiday, I’ll admit that I thought they were mushrooms. They were delicate cream puffs with green sugar glaze and a chocolate-y center – it comes in a set of three.
On another occasion, I got my hands on these adorable ladybug macarons – they serve three of them for $9. They are filled with strawberry jam and they were very flaky and delicious! Jolly Holiday is best known for their Mickey-shaped macarons, but for the Main Street Electrical Parade, these macarons have been available. Look how cute they are!
There are plenty of other goodies available at Jolly Holiday Bakery, though I haven’t gotten a chance to try them yet. There’s a chocolate eclair, a Cheshire Cat cookie, and pineapple coconut parfait.
I also decided to visit the Refreshment Corner (“Coke Corner”) and got my hands on their version of a Frito pie, or what they are calling “Firefly Chips.” For less than $6, you get a small bag with corn chips, chili, and jalapenos. It was definitely a great treat! You have to ask for this secret menu item, so be sure to give it a try!
Other secret menu items include:
- Electra Fried Chicken Sandwich (Carnation Cafe)
- Chili mac & cheese bread bowl (Refreshment Corner)
- “Fantasia” Ice Cream Whoopie Pie Sandwich (Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour)
- Mozzarella Sticks (Stage Door Cafe)
- Galactic Burger, “Alien Style” (Galactic Grill aka Tomorrowland Terrace)
Disneyland has extended the Main Street Electrical Parade until August 20, so I’m sure these Disneyland treats will also be available through summer. I haven’t gotten a chance to try them all but I’m definitely intrigued. There are many other Main Street Electrical Parade treats, such as the Rice Krispies and such but I haven’t gotten around to trying them – here’s to hoping I get to this summer!
Which one of these secret menu items is on your list?
